Self-awareness is developed through strength identification. Amazing People Schools is based on the belief that everyone has strengths and when these strengths are understood and practised, they help people to flourish. Developing strengths improves young people’s attendance, behaviour and achievement. All of which leads to an increased sense of confidence and purpose.
Working through the resources and stories on the Amazing People Schools platform helps to develop self-awareness through:
• Understanding their own strengths
• Developing their feelings, thoughts and values.
• Using the stories of hundreds of role models to explore their own identity and that of others.
All the following role models make teaching of Amazing People Schools easier across different year groups. Alternative historical and contemporary role models can be found on the individual strengths pages.
[this may be an unneccesary amount of jump downs!]
