Description
This session helps children understand that it is normal to miss people, pets, places, or special belongings when they are not with us. Whether someone has gone to work, moved away, is staying somewhere else, or a favourite toy has been left at home, children learn that missing someone or something is a natural feeling that everyone experiences. Through storytelling, discussion, role play, and creative activities, children are encouraged to recognise and express their emotions while exploring gentle ways to stay connected through memories, drawings, kind words, and talking to trusted adults. The emphasis is on reassuring children that it is okay to miss someone or something special, that feelings can come and go, and that love, care, and happy memories can help us feel connected even when we are apart
