WOW Lesson
A topic fuelled by creativity. Rainbows are a wonderful way to learn about colour recognition and the whole world around us. We see colour every day, it's everywhere we go. This topic will unleash children's artistic skills and support them in making their own masterpieces!

- Write recognisable letters, most of which are correctly formed
- Hold a pencil effectively in preparation for fluent writing – using the tripod grip in almost all cases
- Subitise (recognise quantities without counting) up to 5
- Verbally count beyond 20, recognising the pattern of the counting system
- Share their creations, explaining the process they have used
- Manage their own basic hygiene and personal needs, including dressing, going to the toilet and understanding the importance of healthy food choices
