Description
There are 11 versions of Number Party! Each video is a celebration of a specific number. When enacted, children are given time (e.g. 90 seconds) to demonstrate and develop their understanding of that number using concrete resources and pictorial representations. These videos contain a vast array of imagery and have proved to be a powerful tool for reasoning and developing conceptual understanding of number. Video 1: Number Party 3, Video 2: Number Party 4, Video 3: Number Party 5, Video 4: Number Party 6, Video 5: Number Party 7, Video 6: Number Party 8, Video 7: Number Party 9, Video 8: Number Party 10, Video 9: Number Party 24, Video 10: Number Party 48, Video 11: Number Party 120.

- Numeracy and Maths
Topics:
- Number, Money and Measure
Programmes of Study:
- I am developing a sense of size and amount by observing, exploring, using and communicating with others about things in the world around me
- I have explored numbers, understanding that they represent quantities and I can use them to count, create sequences and describe order.
- I have discussed the important part that numbers play in the world and explored a variety of systems that have been used by civilisations throughout history to record numbers.

Reception, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6Subjects:
- Mathematics and Numeracy
Topics:
- Algebra uses symbol systems to express the structure of mathematical relationships.
- The number system is used to represent and compare relationships between numbers and quantities.
Programmes of Study:
- I can understand that the value of a number can be determined by the position of the digits.
- I can use a range of representations to extend my understanding of the number system to include negative values, decimals and fractions. I can accurately place integers, decimals and fractional quantities on a number line. I can apply my understanding of number value to round and approximate appropriately.
- I can use mathematical language to describe quantities, and to make estimates and comparisons such as ‘more than’, ‘less than’ and ‘equal to’.
- I can use my experience of the counting sequence of numbers and of one-to-one correspondence to count sets reliably. I can count objects that I can touch, and ones that I cannot.
- I have experienced and explored numbers, including cardinal, ordinal and nominal numbers, in number-rich indoor and outdoor environments.
- I have explored forming a quantity in different ways, using combinations of objects or quantities.
